Backpack That's Easy to Find Things In, Sturdy, Fancy, Glittery Webbing

One of the main criteria I have when I start looking for a new bag pattern to try, is to find something with a DIFFERENT feature....not like all the other ones I've made in the past.

This backpack has a very unique feature...a front vertical zipper (under the secured flap) so that you do not have to stuff your head into the bag to find what you're looking for. This is MAJOR for me, and I hope to make several more with different fabrics and motifs.

This one is made with a high quality medium gray denim. It might out-live all your other bags. The black fabric is vinyl-backed canvas that has a very durable reputation also. I've lined it in a bold "feather" cotton print that brightens up the interior. The bag has fleece interfacing between the lining and the exterior fabric to give it strength and makes it stand on it's own.

On the exterior there is a flap that is secured by a swivel clasp connected into a D-ring, to keep that flap from flapping around. The 1.5" black-gray-silver sparkly webbing is adjustable.

Inside you will find a zipper pocket and a very wide slip pocket with several sections.

This pattern was created by "Woodland Stitches Sewing Patterns." This is the first one I've made.
